Who Is Eligible
-
Am I eligible to use Klarna?
You must be a UK resident, over 18 years old and have a valid payment card to use Pay in 3 or Pay Later. When we say ‘valid payment card’, we mean the card must be in your name, and must not have expired. You should also make sure the card you use has enough money available to cover all the instalments or your full payment. Pay in 3 and Pay Later are both a credit product. It’s Klarna’s decision whether or not they start a credit agreement with you.
-
Will using Klarna affect my credit score?
No. Klarna might carry out a limited credit search on you at a credit reference agency. This is a ‘soft credit check’, and won’t affect your credit score, or your chances of using credit in the future. You’ll be able to see it on your credit file, but no one else will.
-
Are there any product exclusions?
E-Gift cards and virtual consultations are excluded from qualifying for Klarna payments plus any orders below the £50 threshold.
Payments & Unregulated Credit Products Details
-
What do I need to provide when I make a purchase with Klarna?
To make a purchase with Klarna you will need to provide your phone number, email address, billing address, date of birth and a valid debit/credit card. This information will be kept secure by Klarna and Creed Fragrances will not have access to this information. If you are new to Klarna and you haven’t used Klarna’s payment options before, you should have your first order delivered to your billing address (where your account is registered). This maximises the changes of your purchase being accepted. All information will be sent to your email address so it is important you provide the right contact details. If you have previously used Klarna, you must use the same email address as you have previously used so Klarna can add the balance to your existing Klarna account and ensure your new purchase is within your available credit limit.
-
Is my payment information safe?
Yes. With Klarna, you are always covered through Klarna’s Buyers Protection policy. Modern safeguards protect your information to prevent unauthorized purchases.
-
Are there any hidden costs?
No, you only pay the amount of the invoice plus interest as appropriate (if paying by instalments).
-
Do Klarna carry out identity and credit checks?
Yes, Klarna will need to carry out identity and credit checks. Klarna will carry out identity and credit checks to ensure that the information you have provided is correct and that it is definitely you making the purchase. If a customer decides to make a purchase using the instalment plan option, Klarna are required by law to carry out a credit check in order to protect you against personal over-indebtedness.
-
When will my first payment be taken?
When your first payment will be taken depends on the Klarna service you have selected. When selecting the pay in instalment option, Klarna will freeze the first of your three instalments on your card at the point of purchase. This means you won’t be able to spend this money on anything else. Once we’ve shipped your items, the first of your three payments will be taken from your card automatically using the frozen amount. You’ll be able to see this on your card statement. If your items are not shipped, Klarna will unfreeze your money and you’ll be able to spend it again. This may take a few days depending on which bank you’re with. The second payment will be taken 30 days after the first payment, and the last one 60 days after the first payment. Klarna will charge your card automatically when your payment is due so you don’t have to worry about paying back the instalments manually or worry about missing a payment. The dates these payments are due will be sent to you by email, and you’ll be able to check them in the Klarna app. When selecting the Pay Later option, you can pay for something you buy up to 30 days from the shipment of your goods. Klarna will send you a payment reminder with details on how to make payment to them directly. If you’d like to pay off your balance before the 30 days is up you can make a payment early through the Klarna App by paying by card immediately. Klarna accepts most cards except prepaid cards. We’ll let you know at checkout if your card hasn’t been accepted.
